I almost forgot to mention that I was Momnapped this past Memorial Day weekend! How could I forget to mention that?? It was the highlight of my weekend! It was about 7pm Sunday night and the fam and I were hanging out, winding down a bit to get the kids ready for baths and bed. I see a unfamiliar car pull into our driveway. I said to Ray, "Who's that?" when I see an old friend from High School emerge, then another...and another!! They were all hootchied up too! The girls marched in, played with the kids for a few minutes, then ordered me to get dressed. I look over at Ray, kind of like.."Would you mind?" and of course he's all like, "GO! Have a GREAT TIME!"
For the record, Ray would not be that jovial about me going out with the girls. I think that there is something intimidating about that, for him. Normally, something like this would blather from his lips "Another GIRLS NIGHT? You just had one last year!"
Anyway, I changed in literally 2 mintues flat and we peeled wheels out of the driveway! It was so good to hang out and it was even better the way it all transpired. It was a great surprise and awesome to see my friends (who live in Denver now) and we had So.Much.Fun.
Mom tip of the day: Plan an "unplanned" Momnapping for yourself. It's every Mom's dream! Your husband will be completely caught off guard and look like such a nice guy when he says, "GO! You deserve it!" He might even go the extra mile and throw a $20 or two at you in front of them.

Must be nice...hope you had a fab time..LOL funny you should mention it, as the conversation about a girls night just came up in my house...didn't fly real well, but wtf? right, i mean, they go do what they wanna??????? anyway, lets do something soon, k?
